THEY DID IT...wohoo

Our wood burning furnace is in...yippeee and I'm working on a piece of wall art, it's the first time i have worked on canvas with watercolor pencils...all tho now I'm adding MORE

Today's photo...amazing

To many this photo may not seem like such a big deal...but to us this is leaps it's our wood burning furnace and this was the hard part...they will cut the hole in the ceiling tomorrow and finish the pipe and we will be in business...wohooo the boys are so proud....

Jelly Bean the Confection Fairy however is finished...
she stands 18" tall and such a sweetie she is...has a flat face with instructions on how to color it with watercolor pencils....she has little pointed ears and painted leggings and is dressed in the illusion of costuming....she is perfect for all levels of dollmakers...comes with both individual finger pattern and mitts....she has needle sculpted toes and oh my her feet are on the larger side but that only helps her stand better...she has one little problem...every thing she touches turns to confections...OH MY....and of course the pattern tells the secrets of how to create her sweet treats from fabric...her wings are wired so that they can be posed...she is the perfect addition to every collection....pattern retails for 10.00 can be ordered from http://www.dollmakersjourney.com or http://www.clothdollpatterns.com

OMG she has a name

Well I had decided the doll was the confection fairy after Judi a had mentioned...so now she has a name "Jelly Bean" the confection Fairy...so what does this mean...well she needs wings and I worked on her fabric confections last night and yepper the pattern will tell how to make wonderful chocolate confections from fabric...wohoo

WEll the question is what is her name? I finished my first doll of 2009 and she will also be a new pattern...she reminds me of spring...awww since it's -10 in Iowa today...a nice thought don't you think?

important things for today

Well first I laugh as Alex (black dog) is relaxing in the way of course but seems to love the new place...so does murph (green birdie) but my all time bestest thing today...those two boxes mean I will have a washer and dryer tomorrow wohooo NOW I never knew what that ment teehee

a few moments for today

well it's a full moon and we get such a wonderful view from our back door...and then we haven't gotten direct tv we are scheduled in 2 wks ewww so today is football play offs so the boys drug an old tv that was here and rigged the rabbit ears and tada a perfect picture we have laughed and laughed see the old thing has one more round before it's tossed teehee the newer tvs won't get a pic til we have satalite rofl

Well in the temp kitchen and entry hall the concrete floors were horrid...so mom and dad came out yesterday and did them for us...aren't they awesome...wohoooo so big ol hugs and thank you to both for all their hard work...yipppeee

Ornament for the White House

I had the honor of being asked to do an ornament for the White House representing Iowa...we were asked not to share it til Mrs. Bush announced the theme...the theme was "The spirit of America" what was the Iowa spirit and red, white and blue...well I didn't do well with red, white and blue...however the spirit of Iowa to me is
Agriculture, livestock, the people and I used the Iowa flower the wild rose...we are not allowed to reproduce the ornament however I am doing a very limited number of ornaments with the wild rose on it...same "feel" as the one I did for the White House...we were given an ornament to use and couldn't do much to alter the shape or size...so here is mine....we were invited to a reception Dec 2 at the White House I decided not to attend due to the work we are doing on our new place in Dunbar...
