Getting on with life

Well since I have been kind on hold for sometime...I've decide all tho we are still playing the waiting game, it's time I get on with life...I have decided to go a head and move my studio out to the trailer that jeff had redone for me...heck if I had gone a head I would have been out there 8mths rofl....so here are a few pics of how it's looking and i'm about ready to start working out their IF my muse decides to resurface which she hasn't at this point rofl...better pictures to come soon

life seems to still be a bit crazy

OH my....yes the Iowa soap opera does cont....Tues night (well all day tues)Jeff didn't feel really well...he had been sick for 3 or 4 days when we returned from Texas and then got better for a couple of days then he started feeling the same way again... Jeff went to the ER....we thought it was gallstones considering the pain he was in and symptoms...however after many many tests we finally found out today (Thursday)...that jeff not only has a hiatal hernia which we knew but a fixed one that was from birth...between the two there is a fatty tissue had pushed up thru them and had fluid around that making it about the size of a tennis ball in the center of his chest...he had been lifting too heavy of things in texas....and guessing this made it irritated...and it then stuck and the pain began...and there is more yada yada but the base is...if he gets more active and loses some weight as he is... since the sleep apnea was diagnosed....he should be fine...no promises since they had never seen anything like this before...if not then they will need to do surgery...sooooooo for now he is home...we are happy and gonna get back to life...awww life is so much fun around here teehee but we are so glad he is home and i'm so glad to sleep in my bed since i slept on a cot at the hospital til they figured it out...it was so scary as they keep saying noper not this....noper not that...however on a good note his lungs, liver, pancreas, spleen, heart and stomach are in great shape teehee maybe the creative bug will bite me and I can get back to creating...

Last day/night at the house on Padre Island

Tonight is our last night at the house...jeff will finish packing the pod tomorrow and we will stay at the hotel the last two nights...the car transport picks up the cars on Monday and Tues the pod is picked up and we fly home...it's been exhausting and I've enjoyed being south for a while...had homemade tamales today yummm here are a few pics of our day out...we road the ferry and went to the beach for a bit...

Padre Island Texas

Well we are in Texas settling Jeff's father's estate...the house is darling and right on the water...so many papers...so many piles....oh my...I took some pictures at the beach and will get some of the house soon...we will be here another week and a half...but wanted to check in and let yall know what I'm up to...

Shane and Shaybree wedding today

Well today the middle son Shane got married...he and Shaybree have been going together for 7 yrs...it was a beautiful wedding...I didn't get many good pictures but I know there will be some that were taken by other so I can share those later...but here are the grooms men and shane waiting for pictures so they played cards...then I did get one of Shane, Shaybree and her sister... then the kids cutting the cake...hopefully I will be able to show just how awesome it was later...

wow life

It's been a wild few weeks again...the floods and storms in Iowa have made this a rough spring...I started working on a piece like way out of the box with the push of Jean and Sprite...and Sprite said how about a troll...OH MY...so I began the adventure of the troll...he is still a WIP but so far here he is...did I make it out of the box rofl

Scarlett's 2yr bday tomorrow

Well Scarlett turned two on Thursday and her bday party is tomorrow...so I decided since she IS a little girl but oh such a tomboy that I would buy her an outfit and play with it a bit...so here is what I came up with...I added a bit of paint, some yoyos and buttons...

Being a Gma

Well I had the girls yesterday and we did "Art" funny Rhi prefers coloring pages that are printed and works hard to stay in the line...Scarlett loves a blank page...here is what Scarlett did with pastels...Rhi wants to make a doll and I have them again on Friday...so maybe gpa will keep scarlett busy so rhi can work on a doll...we shall see...time sure flies as Scarlett will be two next week...OH MY

I'm finished with what I am doing...jean is making a medallion for the front cover and Sprite is making two little dragons one to sleep in the cave/stand behind and one to peek over the edge of the top of the book...but I'm tickled and know Jeff will be thrilled...

well my piece is coming along...it's a piece for Jeff (hubby's) 20 year clean time bday...I figure he has been a good boy that many years he deserves something special...you will notice that we now have bear tracks...that is his totem and so they needed to be added...she doesn't have her eyes yet...so she is spokey and is tied down so that she will dry in place...
