We go to Jeff's dad's for Christmas tomorrow night and then we are done...it's been wonderful and exhausting...this is the wall art I made for Jeff's dad and Denise...you can't see the frame...it's watercolor...

Well I've been busy like all of you getting ready for Christmas...I finished up coasters last night and now Jeff needs to put the holders together for some...and some I used a small gourd for the holder...then I'm also showing you Rhi's Christmas hat our tradition is the little ones wear a santa hat and deliever the presents...so of course Rhi's would be PINK...I need to get Scarlett's done, wrap gifts and make cookies today...Scotti comes in the morning and I will go with mom to the airport...oh my it's almost here...

I crocheted around the sleeves and bottom of the sweatshirt then made the ruffle at the neck...and of course it's PINK...

The beginning of the new book

As many of my friends know I'm working on book two...Seven Virtues....the book will be one pattern...illusions of costuming and how to alter the one pattern into seven dolls...there will be a pressmold named virtue that I will use and also there will be a flat face pattern for those who don't like pressmolds...so I would like you to meet Virtue the beginning...the first doll will be Faith...what's a better way to start a project but with Faith....

I had forgotten all about making pantyhose wings til she brought it up...I had cream pantyhose and wire and I got paints...they don't photograph as light and airy as the look but they are perfect there but not heavy..woohoo soooooo she has wings...

Well I'm making polymer clay coasters...however Jeff says he will pour them in resin for me...OH MY...I'm so excited...they start out white...then I will paint them like the one I just finished....awww for those who are hard to buy gifts for...wohooo

Thumbelina has wings

Well I finished Thumbelina and now she has her wing...

Snickerdoodle time...oh my

Well it's that time of the year...I don't cook much as many of you know...but the family sure loves when I make Snickerdoodles...and I'm making 3 dozen tonight...

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar (white)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
PREPARATION:
Sift together first 4 dry ingredients. Add in the butter, 3/4 cup sugar and vanilla. Mix. Beat in the egg.
In samll bowl, mix the 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into balls (size of your choice.
I go for ping pong ball sized) and roll them in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees F. for about 8 minutes. Cool on a rack. -

Here are my heads for the teapot swap...I used my willow mold for two...Jacque's witch mold for two and Jean Bernard's mold for one...now we are waiting for my heads to arrive...oh my...

Christmas Card

Jeff and I kept the grand daughters last night for the first over nighter with both of them....oh my a two year old and 6mth old is lots of work...however once I got Scarlett settled down...rhi and I made "art" so I'm using Rhi's art for our Christmas cards this year...

I am taking names for my newest pattern he is a dollmaker's muse...I used Jacque Uetz's Rosebud mold and created a new body/clothing pattern and he sits on a spool of thread that is a sewing container (the instructions are in the pattern for it too)...His hat is a pin cushion and he can hold scissors, thread and he has a wool patch on his vest for needles...I am taking names from now til midnight tomorrow night Tues US...I will announce the winner on Wed...thanks for taking a look and helping...email your names to innerchildslg@yahoo.com

Dollmaker's Muse...

Well now that I know who he is...he is sitting upon a spool of thread that is also a container which would make a great little sewing box...he is about 19"and how to make his spool of thread will be part of the pattern...tomorrow he gets dressed...and of course he needs a name...win a free pattern name him....

The last two days...

Jeff brought in an old mobil home to turn into my studio...it's been a long process to get it to where we are now...which is still horrid teehee...however I posted pictures from the other day...then this week I will post pics of it walls stripped...new windows and now we begin the part that starts to look pretty to see pics go to my picturetrail...
