what i'm working on
I went with Mary Whitehead to the homeless shelter in M'town and met with a family and I am to make an art piece inspired by the experience for an auction at the end of May...proceeds to go to the Homeless...so I have sat and thought and I realized that the true victims of the homeless is the children...my heart went out to the family and children...so here is the beginning of my little one...

Meet Otto
Many years ago my youngest son sculpted Otto and I've had the head and yes cherished it...well he is getting married in a month and tomorrow is the bridal shower...so I have turned Otto in to a plastic bag holder and for me it means two things...one it's my way of letting go of my little boy who has now become a wonderful young man and to share with my new daughter in law to be not only my art but her husband to be's art also...funny how you get sappy in your old age teehee so this is Otto... Matt's sculpt and my assembly a cherished combo

Valentine memories....
Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday...not sure why...could it be the pinks, red, white, lace and hearts...however as a child one of my most favorite memories is every Valentines Day in elementary school we were to bring valentines for our friends and a box with a hole cut in the top to receive valentines...it was something that mom and I did together...she would help me pick out the right valentine for each person in my class and then "the box" oh my we would spend hours and hours decorating it and mine of course was always the BEST one teehee and what a treat today mom/dad called and asked if they could come by for coffee and what to my surprise she had made me a valentine's box to keep forever...it's so beautiful and filled with old fashioned tea cakes...truly the bestesst treasure ever....
